APPLICATION OF GREY PREDICTION MODEL IN TENSILE STRENGTH OF MATERIAL AT HIGH TEMPERATURE
ABSTRACT
It is difficult to accurate measure of tensile strength of a material especially for a higher temperature. In this paper, a discrete grey prediction model is developed to indirect measurement of the tensile strength of heat-treated steel C1144 for a higher temperature. The expressions of time response function and model parameters, and some properties of the new model are derived. On this basis, the experimental data of the tensile strength of Steel C1144 from 400ºF through 1300ºF is analyzed, and calculation results show that the newly proposed can obtain more accurate results.
