STREAMLINE DIVERSION DEVELOPMENT FOR ENHANCED OIL AND GAS RECOVERY
ABSTRACT
Amid the global energy demand surge and increasingly scarce hydrocarbon resources, enhanced oil recovery (EOR) has become pivotal for energy security. This study investigates the application of streamline diversion development through well pattern adjustments, focusing on the core mechanisms and field performance. The theoretical foundation is established by elucidating streamline simulation principles and EOR mechanisms. For reservoirs in ultra-high water-cut stages, refined adjustment strategies integrating well pattern infilling and streamline redirection are analyzed. Case studies demonstrate significant production enhancement, and long-term benefits and sustainability are evaluated.
